BuzzMart runs three convenience stores in Northeast Florida: BuzzMart in Hastings, Satsuma Express in Satsuma and Summit Express in Crescent City. This policy explains what we collect when you order on this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We’ve kept it short and in plain language.
What we collect
When you place an order
- Your name, email address and mobile number, so the store knows whose order it is and can reach you.
- What you ordered, the store you picked, your pickup or delivery time, and any note you leave for the kitchen.
- For curbside orders, your car’s color and type, and the parking spot number you give us when you arrive.
- For delivery orders, your delivery address, any apartment number or delivery instructions, and the tip you choose.
If you create an account
Accounts are optional. If you make one, we store your email address and the profile details you choose to add, such as your name, mobile number, ZIP code and birthday, along with your order history. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth. Your password is stored by Supabase in hashed form; we never see it.
Payment information
When you pay online, your card is entered into a secure form provided by Stripe and goes directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number or security code. Stripe tells us whether the payment went through, and we keep a reference to the payment so we can issue refunds. If you choose to pay at the store, no payment information is collected online.
Your location
If you allow it, your browser shares your location so we can show the nearest store and, for curbside orders, confirm you’ve arrived. That check happens in your browser. We don’t store your location; only the parking spot and car details you enter are sent to the store. If you search for a place or ZIP code, that search text is sent to OpenStreetMap to find it on the map.
On your device
To make ordering faster, your browser remembers things like your cart, the store you picked, saved delivery addresses, your car for curbside and your recent orders. This lives in your browser’s storage, not on our servers, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings. If you’re signed in, your browser also keeps a session so you stay signed in. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To prepare your order, have it ready on time, bring it to your car or deliver it.
- To send order emails: your confirmation, updates as your order moves along, and receipts or refund notices.
- To answer questions and fix problems with an order.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud.
- To send you deals, only if you opt in. Email deals and text deals are separate choices you can make at checkout or on your account page, and you can turn either off at any time on your account page. You can also reply STOP to any marketing text.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers. We share it only with the services that help us run online ordering, and only what each one needs:
- Supabase hosts our database and handles account sign-in.
- Stripe processes card payments and refunds.
- Resend delivers our order emails.
- Vercel hosts this website.
- OpenStreetMap provides the store map and place search.
Staff at the store making your order see the details they need to fill it. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers, staff or stores.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet tax and accounting requirements. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Order emails are logged so we can confirm they were sent.
Your choices
- You can see and update your profile and marketing choices on your account page at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of the information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Contact us and we’ll take care of it. We may need to keep some order records where the law requires us to.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), card details are handled only by Stripe, and access to order and customer information is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will let you know if a problem affects you.
Children
This site is meant for adults placing food orders. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear on the site or let account holders know by email.
